Block Description available?
« on: May 14, 2019, 05:00:47 AM »
Hi,
can I find at any place a more extensive description of the available block types: How do the look and work?
Just found this:
https://www.tinyportal.net/docs/index.php?page=Creating-a-block
but it is not very extensive....
Or do I need to change type one by one and see?
Regards
Michael

I don’t think there is a comprehensive description of all standard blocks. Best way is to do what you described : create a test block ( only visible to admins) and try the various blocks...

That's a good question actually.

Now even though these need updating, as some of the blocks have changed, some added some taken away in later versions of TP, there's a list here that might help with some of them, https://www.tinyportal.net/docs/index.php?topic=109.0

we may want to include some images of the block later...

@rjen Thank you, that looks great.  I agree some images would be useful, likewise some (real examples) on the usage of some of those block types might be handy, like the RSS one, the SSI, and News blocks.
