Hi

i just downloaded TP ver 0.8.6 but found no installation instructions in it , then i came back on this site again and went to "Documentation" link and there was no Installation instruction in that too. I clicked on the forum "Installation" it has a thread about "Old" installation of some previous version. With such a hardwork on such a beautiful software how could you forget the people like me who need a step by step instructions being dumb @ programming and stuff.

thanks

akulion

TP is a package for SMF forum

Simply go to your forum Admin panel under PACKAGES

and install it as a normal mod or package

thats why no installation instructions needed UNLESS u want to do a lengthy manual install

ftvguy

ok i have installed it , but i wanted to see TP as home page on the main directory like this

www.mydomain.com

and how will i uninstall it , if it is not possible ?

iwyen

Manage Settings>Frontpage

Select option for "What to show on frontpage"

To uninstall, uninstall the package from SMF admin panel.

No you misunderstood it , i already had a SMF forum at

www.mydomain.com/forums

Now when i've installed TP , it is also showing up at the same place , i.e.,

www.mydomain.com/forums

Is it possible that TP shows up at

www.mydomain.com

so that it becomes the HOME PAGE.

I believe you would need to install SMF in your base directory than install Tp for it to show up

akulion

TP is entirely dependant upon the forum..so it needs to be where the forum is located

the path settings in all the files would have to be changed to achieve what you want..and that would be manual hours of work

So an easy way to do it? Dosent exist best to my knowledge

The only way for u to have that would be to have the forum installed in the root of ur domain and then nstall TP

ok i have uninstalled TP for the time being but now i am unable to change the theme . Why is that ? Whenever i go to admin and change the theme , it remains the same .

akulion

Themes for TP are different from themes for SMF

please check to make sure u have the correct versions installed :)

That could be your problem, but if you are definately sure your themes are SMF ones and not TP/SMF modified ones, then come and report it

i was using a SMS theme Dilber MC when i had TP installed. But after uninstalling TP i tried to change the theme through admin as i used to do , but it is not taking up new theme or any old installed theme.
