Dealing with rude members!

Would you like me to sign up a few accounts with you and piss you off so that you can practise banning? (Pls don't say yes!)

If there's really a need to ban that member (why else would you even be troubled), just do it, get away from the internet and go do something you like. You'll get over it as time past by..

Though I understand that banned members come back with a new account to haunt you. And that's when you get used to banning that someone

I can get lippy; as an admin on many sites, I should know better , but u try to work ur differences out.

Its easy to get upset over a mis-understanding.

I had similar problems,just dont wont to ban anybody because I feeled quilty,and then problem only geting worse and worse.
Today I can ban people very easy,if I can block their ip number I will do that,I dont wont that problematic persons can even see my site,blank page for them,if is posible.
I wont to come to my forum and talk with my friends in good mood and freely,not to waste my time with some sucker,after all is my/your forum and is your private property.
In my opinion,my forum is like my house,I dont allow that everybody can walk in my house and do what they wont,if you are guest in my house then you need to follow rules of my house,if someone dont like that rules,sorry and goodby.

its better to ban by membername and email as oposed to by IP

because univerisities / schools and colleges use one IP's or a range of IP's to connect to the net - so banning 1 ip could result in u not allowing a lot of people on te site

I agree, Nut cases need to be removed, and its for the best or they'll deck ur site in - which u spent ages making.

I have only banned one person.  An obvious troll from the first post.  We are all so close knit on my site and live so close to each other that if anybody gets into a tizzy, we hop into the truck and knock on somebodies door and settle it mano y mano.
