Mitch,

What version of TP did you upgrade from?  Did you uninstall the old version?

Try this --> http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=32376.msg260521#msg260521

Hmmm, well there weren't any database changes between TP 1.0 beta 5-1 and 5.2 so if it worked before it should be working now.  I can't tell too much right now because your site seems to be in maintenance but I did notice one thing.  The "TinyPortal 1.0 beta 5-1" on your Forum BoardIndex is in the center as it should be but on your FP, it's on the left.  This usually indicates that there is something on the FP that is causing a problem, like some errant code in a block or something.

Here's something you might try.  Go to the SMF Mod site (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=97) and on the right, where it says "Download this mod" select your version of SMF from the dropdown to the right of "Manual Install Instructions for SMF" and click parse.  That will give you the correct manual install instructions.  Just go through that and make sure that everything was changed correctly.

Thanks Zar,

I have put it back online.  I did go through after the initial install and do what you had suggested and manually checked all the files. I just did it again and all seems good there.. Unless I missed something in my blueskies theme... but I don't think so since I can change to default theme and get same errors.

Where is the TP version stored?  Wonder why, even with the DB error it still shows beta 5-1 and not 5.2??

Well I figured out one thing... It has to do with any block type "Articles in a Category"

Got part of the main page back up.. Still not sure why 5-1 is still showing and not 5.2...

Mitch,

I don't know, unless you had some sort of permissions problem that kept some of the new files from overwriting the older files.  Question, is that combination User/Stats block supposed to be in the middle of the FP, or is it supposed to be in the left panel?

Will the Package Manager let you uninstall TP 1.0 beta 5-1?  If so, you might want to backup the database and then uninstall that (if it doesn't give you any errors) and then try installing TP 1.0 beta 5.2 again.  If it doesn't let you do that without errors, then we may have to do something else.  In the meantime, can you setup a temp Admin account and PM me the login details (don't post them here) so that I can take a look at it from the inside.  When you PM me, I'll need ...

I tried an uninstall of 5-1 but there were errors... Load.php and one other file it said was not right...

I think I may have narrowed it down a bit more...  If you look at any panel that is of type Articles in a Category, there is a line with a blank drop down box... Attached a screen show...

Will PM you the access info Zar,

Thanks!!
