I have a bug with SMF 2.0 RC3 +  TP1Beta5.1

After loading a completely fresh install

I goto "Tiny Portal > Categories > Add Category" and try to add category. I get error:
Incorrect integer value: '' for column 'subtype2' at row 1
File: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Sources\TPortalAdmin.php
Line: 2046

Also when I assign a member group the ability to submit an article, when a user tries to submit an article, this error occurs:

Database Error: Incorrect integer value: '' for column 'category' at row 1
?action=tpmod;sa=submitarticle2

I am not very good with PHP and cannot provide much help with resolving this issue. So I am hoping someone out here knows what's going on. Thank you! I love tinyportal!

I do not have that problem. Are you putting anything in particular in the title for the category? A number or special character?

xGTx

Nope nothing special at all. I tried reinstalling everything fresh + new database. Same exact issue =\

I just tried SMF 1.1.11 with TP1beta5.1, same error.  :idiot2:

UPDATE: Just tried TP1beta4 and no errors there.

UPDATE:

I edited this line:
VALUES('" . strip_tags($name) . "','".$parent."','','category','',0,'','',0,'','')", __FILE__, __LINE__);

to:

VALUES('" . strip_tags($name) . "','".$parent."','','category','',0,'','',0,0,'')", __FILE__, __LINE__);

And it works. Hopefully subtype2 = 0 isnt going to break anything.

This was a fix to the first problem. The 2nd problem still exists.

xGTx

Anybody?? I'm using latest MySQL on top of IIS7 if that helps...

Renegd98

I just tested adding a category and do not get that error.

I have not tested the other issue.

xGTx

Did you try from a completely fresh install of the latest SMF and latest TP ? If not, could you real fast?

Also I found a work around for the category issue. So the 2nd issue is more important to me at the moment.

Renegd98

My test site is a fresh install of both.

xGTx

What in the hell! Are you using IIS7, FastCGI for PHP? Windows 2008 server? Latest mysql ?

hmm... can you take a screenshot of the page a user see's when he/she is "Writing a HTML Article"

Because when I goto that page, i do not get any text fields allowing me to select what category it should go in or anything. I just get a field for body text, intro text, and that's it. On the fresh install too.

xGTx,

I'll tell you what.  Why don't you post a screenshot of what you are seeing.  That might be better.
