Also, if you are using a different language you may get those errors too. For instance, if your profile or forum is set to use English-utf8, or Swedish/Spanish etc. If you are not using English (non utf8), try it with just English and see if you get the error.

All files and folders or just a certain group?

BTW have contacted my host to look into the internal Server Erro also..

Thanks..

Thanks for the help so far..

I have found the problem with at least the server error (500 timeout).

After creating a  clean site and installing the packages one by one and then testing, it seems the package Akismet Spam Blocking was causing the timeout.

After removing I could then post.

Its odd as it was previously working..but at least now can post.

I am still getting errors in the forum error log as previously mentioned and will continue to track them down.

Will post if its finally settled 100%.

Mike.

Default language is set at "English" in core configuration...I cant see any other language option there..(incorrect place?)

Ive checked permissions for folders and they look OK

Only error I'm getting now in Forum Errors section is:

8: Undefined index: tp-showlatest
File: /home/xxxx/xxxx/Themes/default/TPShout.template.php
Line: 241

Have checked the the TPShout.english.php file and i have "tp-showlatest" defined :
(extract from /themes/default/languages/TpShout.english.php)

$txt['permissionname_tp_can_admin_shout'] = 'Manage Shoutbox';
$txt['permissionhelp_tp_can_admin_shout'] = 'Allows you to manage shouts.';
$txt['cannot_tp_can_admin_shout'] = 'Sorry, you aren\'t allowed to manage shouts.';
$txt['tp-showlatest'] = 'Show 50 latest';

Also of interest, when I click on the TPShout option in admin i have the following error:

Warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty in /home/xxx/xxx/Sources/TPmodules.php on line 1986

Really not sure about that one....

Thanks in advance..

Mike.

If you move the TPShout.english file to the default/languages folder does the tp-showlatest error go away? You try uninstall/reinstall of the shoutbox?

Mikepara

#16
at the time of my last post, the TPShout.english file was/is in default/languages directory...

were should it normally be?

I have tried to reinstall but same problem.

Thanks

Mike.
