I was thinking if there was a "small" open source shopping cart that could some how be intergrated in with smf/TP, you would have all you need to set up almost any kind of website.  :uglystupid2:

html pages/home page/forum/arcade/shopping cart

Looks good, think a clueless n00b could integrate it with TP/SMF  :o given my level of ignorance, I'm thinking nadachance....

Actualy there is a cart used on the SMF site, think he'll release it as a Mod?

I currently use Zencart for one of my sites and they have a pretty good support forum. They tend to "make it" a bit complicated at times. If they had something similar to blocs, "blocks" then they would be on to something.

However, these guys have made such leaps and bounds with smf/tp. It would be awesome if it was taken to the next level. IMHO

I've looked at oscomerence, cube and a few others and they're great in there own respects.

With smf/tpcart we could throw up a site in a few hours and that's what I'm talking about...lol That bloc is one sharp cat!!! I'm sure when he gets going on it we will all be taken back by what he comes up with!!!!

Anyway, thank you all for your insight!!!  ;)

If Bloc is up to the challenge, he may make a oscommerce intergration. I know he talked about it awhile back. I dunno how he feels about it now. However,  if he did, I don't expect to see this anytime before version 1.0 public release.

I have been working on an internal TP shop module..it has cart/items/admin section basics done. But still issues with the paypal module which I have been concentrating on first(in regards to payment options). So it will be a while before that comes into action.

And I am in fact studying Oscommerce.. ;D Been making a theme for it , because I am moving any paid themes over there (until the shop module is ready), and in that process learning slowly how it works. Not as clean as SMF imho, but in fact the basic Osc package is faster than Zencart or other "over-modded" packages like Creloaded etc. Just shows that "many" is not necessarily "better".

I really want to share the members between SMF and Osc, but I am not sure I will get that going in any foreseeable future. But you never know... :) TP comes first of course.
