How to make themes compatible?

TP version: 0.9.8.3
Theme name and version: Dilber
Mods installed: none
Related Error messages: N/A


How do i make a theme compatible to work with tinyportal? I tried installing it in my theme dilber and it did not work. The left and the right blocks were not displayed. I would really want my site to be in this theme and have tinyportal installed. So how do I do it? What changes do I have to make in the theme files to make it compatible to tinyportal.
