I have read all the snippets to see if I could find what my client is looking for.  What they want is a front page block that will allow them to upload "poster" ads and have them rotate(perferrably without having to refresh).  Is there anyone who has seen this lurking about?  It would also be sweet if the images could be linked to that specific poster within the forum itself. ANy help is greatly appreciated.

ok so if i find something, I can just add it to a block? what type of block would i use then? I guess I am just now grasping what it is you can do within these blocks.  Any code from anywhere is usable then?  Thanks

JPDeni

If the code you find is written in php, then you would use a php block. If it's written in javascript, you would use a scriptbox.

Yeah, sorta. If it's php you need to adjust it a little bit, usually deleting the first and last line.

I would suggest that you look for it and give it a try. If you get an error or it doesn't work like you think it should, post here for help. Be sure to be specific about what the problem is and post the code you're using so we can figure out what's causing your problem.

Have you tried putting http://boingboing.net/busted_tees/rotate.php in a directory of your website and a bunch of images inside of it. Then just link to it like this: <img src="rotate.php"> and it will display all the images in that directory randomly.

I'm looking for the same thing, specify a folder but not a random image, i don't want to have to reload the page or refresh to go to next image, kind of like a slideshow where it steps through the images after 2 or 3 seconds in the specified folder.

Make your own topic.
Don't hijack someone else's thread.

Do a google search btw.

calm down jpg, i'm not trying to hijack it, i'm looking for the same thing so why open a new thread?  As for google, i've looked, i can only find stuff that either you have to put in the url for each image or only loads the next image when you refresh the page.

It's the 1st one.
Yes you have to put a url for each one.

Also try this one-
