I was testing the article functions and they all seem to work great but I can not upload any images from my computer using the browse button.  I can get to the point where I click upload file and it never shows up in the list of images.  Is this a permission issue?

The images that are already in that file can be uploaded and show up great, I just can't get any new ones in the folder from TP.

Thanks in advance.

I am also trying to add more images to the theme image folder and it is not allowing me to do that either.  I have tried to change the permissions on the image folder using my FTP and in my Host control panel and they will not allow me to change the permssions.  Is there something in TP or SMF that is not allowing me to do so?

I would bet its permissions. Why won't your host let you change the permissions?

webgurl123

Well I don't know if it is the host. I tried using my FTP program and it would not let me so I went into the Control Panel on my host and tried there. It just says it can not change chmod details? In my ftp program it just doesnt do anything.  I am stumped, the images that are in the theme image folder can be overwrote but no new ones be put it.

IchBin

That is something your host will have to fix. If you can't change the permissions on a file it is because you do not own them. Tell your host they need to chown your directory.

I'm having a similar (if not the same) problem. If I hit the browse button in WhizzyWig I get a page with the standard "Sorry folks - there seems to be a problem with the server. Nothing I can do about it, just gotta wait til it's fixed." message. I don't *think* it's a permissions issue even if I set things to 777 there's no difference.

Any help would be much appreciated

same here on smf 1.1.4 and tp 0.9.8
folder rights are ok...is there anything that can be adjusted in
FCKeditor/editor/filemanager/browser/default/connectors/php/config.php
seems like a cause of problem or that editor is not aware where to look for images,no?
Thanks!

bloc

The editor looks in Userfiles folder, so be sure it exists. Other than that it should work, but as always: permissions, even a slight one, will create trouble if not set correctly.

Hi Bloc,
Thanks for the response!
I am assuming we are talking about creating 'Userfiles' 755 folder under tp-images?
If so, still getting an XML error Internal Server Error (500).

Any thoughts?
Thanks a bunch!
