Ok, this is now starting to really bother me.
1. I have created a folder under '/home/mysite/public_html/forums/forums/UserFiles' and assigned 777 rights.
= Folder & files are accessible through http://domain.com/forums/UserFiles/

2. Edited the config.php file to reflect:
$Config['UserFilesPath'] = '/home/mysite/public_html/forums/UserFiles/';
also tried just:
$Config['UserFilesPath'] = '/UserFiles/';

What am I missing here?
Thanks again!

IchBin

The first path you posted is different than the URL and other paths that you typed. Is that your problem?

Hi IchBin,
I have tried that version as well:
$Config['UserFilesPath'] = '/UserFiles/' ;  nor '/forums/UserFiles/' nor '/home/mysite/public_html/forums/UserFiles'
//$relpath;
$Config['UserFilesAbsolutePath'] = '/UserFiles/'; nor '/forums/UserFiles/' nor /home/mysite/public_html/forums/UserFiles'
//$root.$relpath;

and still the same error.
-Also tried absolute paths as well as creating folder 'UserFiles' under root of /home/mysite/public_hml/UserFiles/.
-
I have manually creted subfolders as well:
/UserFiles/Image
/UserFiles/File
/UserFiles/Flash
/UserFiles/Media
tried the under inherited 755 and 777 permissions... :(
Also tried the https://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1457970&forum_id=257180
and edited URL respectivly....nothing worked.

edit note:
After all the tests I dropped the 'http://site.com/forums' structure and moved the smf+tp into root of the site and re-uploaded FCKeditor folder clearing any changes I have done.
Now,all is well....
...there must have been some other tweaks in FCKeditor related files since I have not touched the 'UserFiles' folder and its structure and rights
Strange.
Thanks for all the attention to this thread.
All the best!
