500 Error After Successful Install
« on: May 06, 2007, 09:59:17 PM »
Hi all,
I have a question. I successfully uploaded and intalled TP 0.98 on SMF 1.1.2. No errors showed up during the installation process so I went ahead and completely installed the TP on my forum.

After restarting the forum to show the updated forum with TP, I am receiving a 500 error now.

The error that is showing up in my server logs is this:
Code: [Select]
Premature end of script headers: /home/****/public_html/forum/index.php

Any clues?

Thanks

Also, just for FYI, I upgraded using the large upgrade from SMF RC3 to 1.1.2.

Thanks

Some files probably got broken during the install.

Download the manual install package and extract the files, upload them manually to your forum and overwrite. (make sure they get uploaded correctly)

Then read and follow this code guide and make sure all the code is in place.

Hi G6,
Actually that didnt help. All the code that was to be manually placed in the files were actually there.  I did find the problem though. It was an error in the sql database itself.

I emptied the table and reinstalled TP and everything is working as it should.

Thanks again for your help :)

thank you for posting your fix. Good to know these things can be caused by that.
