Making blocks

Hi!

I need help with using TP.

I am not sure how to add blocks, or use them. Any help would be great

Is it possible to have blocks on the left and right, and have news in the middle? And how do I do this?

go into the admin panel...on your left menu find the TinyPortal block.

in there click on Block Manager; you'll find the options there.

Also, just quickly, although not very related to the topic (but I feel it is pointless to start another topic for it ), the settings.php file appears to be read only. How can I change the settings? I try to change them in the admin panel, but they are blanked out because the file is read-only. How can I edit these settings?

I know what you are saying, but the problem is how can I actually edit those options? Is it my hosting (Recoding.net)? Is it the type of server it is installed on?

Why would you want to edit the settings.php file?
