Are you using a frontpage block?
I am using centerblock. :)

Brianjw

I'm using a center block and all the choices are set to None so it shows on all pages.
I did this but now all my activated centerblocks show on every page too. What should i set it as to only appear for index.php? ???

Brianjw

hmmm I didn't see an option for that   :o
Roarin row, how did you do your website. You have that menu show up on every page and also have the centerblocks that are for the homepage being displayed only on the homepage. Until i discover this, my site is in maintenance mode since it looks horrible seeing on every page this big index on every single page ;)

Brianjw

On my Home page I only use Articles.  The added menu is the only center block that that page.  I choose 'None' on all options so it shows up on all pages.

Then on specific boards where I have banners and such, I only activate for that board.  See example.
how do you use the titles in the article? ???
Brianjw

Maybe this is a next feature for tp: Allow centerblock to be displayed on index only :)

There is a Title field

How do you make this have a transparent background (homepage)?

brianjw

I am also very confused. How do I transfer all my blocks to an article? and make the bg be transparent and have titles as if they were still blocks?

You should be able to copy the same exact code from Block to a new Article without any problems.  Depending on the Block that it's coming from you'd just select 'Add' or 'Add PHP' if it's coming from a PHP block.

On some of my articles I had click on 'HTML' bbc icon if I was in WhizzyWig mode, then paste my script or other code there.

I use both styles, but to have a transparent background, in the Display options select 'Use just the title'.

Depending on what you want your from page to look like, I would start with the article you want placed at the bottom of the page first, then work your way up.  Unlike block you can't prioritize the articles by number.

Then set your Welcome article as the featured article so it will always be on top of the other articles.

If it where me, I'd transfer one block code to one new article.  Then yes, disabling your duplicate blocks that are now articles and keeping the Add Menu script center block.

On my FrontPage settings I choose Option A, which just has the articles on top of each other, not side by side.
