Need some guidence on 0.9.7 install.

I have TP 0.97 and SMF 1.1.1 running smoothly for some weeks now.

all i had to do was read carefully (and understand) what changes were made to the new security realease from 1.1 to 1.1.1 and none affect the way TP works...

so to my understand the package wont install only because the install script doesn't recognize the SMF version...

that is, the automatic (blindly search for a version and didn't find the correct one in the install script)

so, all you need to do is to manually Open package-info.xml in the TP_097.zip as Ichbin correctly says, and look for any instance where you see its for version 1.1 and manually insert 1.1.1 version too, or if you want change all 1.1 to 1.1.1 and save it again...

from that point upload the script as a package as you normally do, and intall it

this of course works if you have a CLEAN SMF installation, with no modifications (mods) to the original SMF files, if you have (like i do...) you need to know exactly what the mods did changed and correct the files, before installing the TP script.

after that it works just fine...

i just installed it using tip number 1
and..it works perfectly on 1.1.1

yupeeeee yes... i'm new to this... just installed smf yesterday....now i know how it works..and saw a post on smf boards about a smf homepage and...came here ...and i must say TP is far better than i would have expected ...the best gadget since the

I just ran the package install twice and each time it completes successfully but then when I go into the site I get nothing but a blank white page. I don't get it.

1. upload the files from the manual install package
2. upload the files from the premade zip file
3. Point your browser to the manual_tp_install.php


ALL files needs to be extracted before you upload them, the files from the ZIP file will aks you to OVERWRITE the old ones.
And dont forget to point the browser to the manuall install db file as it upgrade the db

ok, just did the manual install just like you said. All went fine. TP came right up. Except.... no forums. Just a black page within TP.
