I used the upgrade from SMF to "reinstall" SMF.

Now the forum is working again...

I can try to install Tiny again... ::)

I think versiob 074 is working fine. So maybe i won't upgrade?

Hey Bloc,

Just installed the new version on a test forum running 1.1RC1...Everything went fine..it said everything was successful. I click on the "restart Forum" link. Then it gives me this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tportal_init() in /usr/home/dknoppix/domains/dknoppix.com/public_html/smf/index.php on line 168

try Coping the tp files over to you new site -- or check the tp file and see if they have 0bits in them if they do then copy the files over.

tp_install_manual.php given for download.
This is not a manual for installation, but a working file to install TP manually, right?
...No laughing please..., "learning curve in progress" :idiot2:

Ah ok. Thanks :D

It worked.

Another Question about SMF in general. When installing  any mod, it says that there are errors with the files? What's wrong? The CHMOD?

Simmafor

Ok, that was fun, not sure if I did everything right, but I I like it.
The only thing is I have this:
Admin
This block should be visible for admins only - no membergroups are set to be allowed to view it. As default new blocks will have all membergroups and guests checked.
And I can see it regardless if I loged in  or not...

Mods will only install to the default theme. So if you install a mod and it alters the code, your next mod that is looking for the original code will not find it. Thus, the failed error in the test install.
