I have uploaded and executed the manual install script and uploaded the TP_075_files_only.zip into the package directory but it is not showing up in the package manager. Does anybody have any comments on that.

Thanks

bloc

No, wrong place. :) TP075_files_only is the actual TP files, just extract that zip to your harddisk and upload the extracted files+folders into main SMF folder, they are all correct laid out already.

What you need to upload into packages folder is the TP074_mod_only.zip. located here: http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?topic=927.0

its the same for both TP 0.74 and 0.75.

I've updated to 0.75 and all is well...
I have spent the past two weeks testing, learning, screamin, and being more determined than ever to dive into the lower depths of tp... it's all good...lol

seriously, I have been doin tons of reading and want to learn php better, it certainly wont hurt...

as for any errors...they have all been self inflicted, I know what I have done and  where/when I did it, sometime they can be fixed and sometimes it's just time to put on a fresh pot of coffee and reload..lol ( twice and counting)

Performed a fresh SMF install on my local machine followed by TinyPortal and I come up with the following error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function TPortal_init() in c:\wamp\www\Forum\index.php on line 168.

Any ideas?  SMF runs fine prior to the TinyPortal installation.

Never mind... I did the manual install per the v0.7.4 version and now it works!

hm..did you have any other mods installed prior to the update? and did the install through package manager have any "failure" on any item?

wjterveld

ehhh nope the forum was a clean install...

I did get a error due to permissions. I fixed it later...
I also got an error updating index.template.php.

When you have failures on the test install it's advised to not continue without knowing what you're doing. :) For a quick fix, try this index.template.php file for your default theme. Just rename the old file and put this one in it's place.
This is for smf 1.1 RC1.
