I have a problem. This is my first time using articles and something is off. I create a front page block with my article and if I don't make it the last thing then it nests all the blocks below it in it. Can anyone think of a reason this might be doing this?

see pics below. if I don't put the article last, then the article nests the news and about boxes inside it before closing the table.

You have an error in one of your templates, the TPortalBlock.template I think, have you been editing them?

jessicac

Well crap. Yeah. See http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?topic=9929.0

Shouldn't have have affected article blocks though should it? Oh, and it's ONLY single article blocks. Nothing else.

If you have an unclose <div> tag you can get this problem.

Guess how I found that out .......

jessicac

LOL. nope. it's not that. just plain ole words. with an img tag and some strong tags. no div's. I took out that hide block mod I made and same problem so it existed before I did that.

Nokonium

You need to re-upload the TPortalBlocks.template.

jessicac

well crapper doodle. yup. That was it. I'll work on that other mod. Thanks!

jessicac

so I uploaded a clean TPortalBlocks.template.php and it works. I go to make the change again and notice, that the lines don't match up. What is on line 308 of my problem template is on line 289 from my clean template. Hmmmm, could it have been a different mod? (I installed all the others thorugh package manager) And if so, how do I find out which one?

G6Cad

On that your answer is just as good as ours.

jessicac

lmao. okey dokey. I'll compare both side by side till I figure out what went wrong. :)
