TP Gallery Questions

[MarkP]

Just a few questions if I may

Will it have a latest uploads, most viewed,  block or something like that we can put on another page of the site?

Will we be able to pull EXIF data from the picture file?

Will it be search engine friendly?

Custom fields for photos? Pic taken at: Description: Lens used: etc?

Thanks for a awesome Portal project to date!! Just wanted to know if Bloc or anyone else could answer these?

We cant give any answers to your questions yet, we dont even know our selfs what Bloc have in mind for the TP gallery, exept that it will be wery light, and only have the most common and the most usefull features. so it will not likley have a lot of fancy settings and features like Coppermine

Thanks for the quick reply I have been looking for coppermine and it is possible to integrate with SMF and TP.

Yes, you can integrate Coppermine with your SMF user database with a bridge, and then make it look like it's a part of your portal.
If you browse to my site you can se how it looks like.

Thanks for the quick reply I have been looking for coppermine and it is possible to integrate with SMF and TP.

What Bloc also wants to do, as I understand it, is develop TP in a way that will specifically make it easier and more convenient to integrate third-party software, such as Coppermine.

How he wants to do this, more specifically, I don't really know.

I have decided to go with Coppermine. Thanks for all the help/suggestions.
