Have installed tp074 using the package manger, got no errors and everything seems OK.
SMF 1.1 Beta 3 Public.

When I try to create a RSS block all I get is the URL in the block... using http://rss.cnn.com/rss/cnn_topstories.rss
When I attempt a SSI Function all I get for is example topreplies is the word topreplies in the block, nothing else.
I am getting this error Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tportal_init() in /home/gard/public_html/Sources/Errors.php on line 294 when I view the ssi_examples.php page for mthe site..not sure if this should still work or not.

OH.. and the big question where is the new user block coming from and how do you call it?

Moocat

ssi_examples.php should definitely work. mine does. always has, too... tp does nothing to that file as far as i know.

Sorry, my post was not very clear, I set up 37 PC's today and I am a little punchy..

What I get the error from in the ssi_examples file is the board_news function. that throws the error, everything else is working.

In my block I use http://rss.cnn.com/rss/cnn_world.rss and it works great -- wounder why you are having problems??
I noticed you were using that URL and tried that one first, have since tried several, all with the same result. Just the URL is displayed in the box.

Knowing my luck this is self inflicted by missing something that I should either know, have noticed, or is written in the instructions I never read.. LOL

Thanks
Curt

Are you sure that your Block is set to RSS? If it's showing the link it sounds to me like it's not. IF that doesn't work try access your RSS link directly in your browser and make sure it's working.

Block type is rss

Is there something else i need or could be missing...

OK I uninstalled TP, and then upgraded SMF to RC1, then reinstalled TP. Everything is working now. I did not get any errors or warnings on the first install so I am not sure what the problems were caused by, but re-installation did the trick.
