Hi,

Would it be possibel to add an image to each article on the frontpage? This would make the page less wordy. Perhaps have the posters' avatar beside the article like what vBadvanced.com has?

How about a poll block with customizable color graphs such as bar chart, pie chart, etc? I know there is a SSI block but it may be better to configure what poll question is used. If we leave it to recent poll, the poll question may not be clear as it is dependent on the poster.

Thank you!

You can add any standard HTML to articles so adding pictures and placing them where you want in an article is very easy. You can use thumbnails and link them to larger images but not as an inline function. Click on toggle view and add your HTML code, then toggle back to see the changes. Don't fully trust what you see since the editor doesn't deal with all code properly. Save your article and view it on your front page to really see if the code is working properly.

Check out my main board where I have a simple picture in my feature article. I didn't left align it or anything but that wouldn't have been any more difficult. Its just a simple <img scr="http://imagelocation"> tag

You can already add images to articles with html. ÂÃ,  If you click on the second url in my sig the signpost is a sliced image set in a table, 15 slices in fact. No border or title (and some of the code pruned to remove author, date etc).

As a standard way of showing authors avatar..that might be something. At least if author/title is chooseable( which didn't make it to this release, nokonium, but surely the next :) )

A custom poll block with different ways to show the poll - interesting. As of now it only show votes, it could look better with some graphs, yes.

I'm thinking of writing a mod which will display a large version of the icon, which means you'll be able to have sort of categories within your posts displayed on the front page.

If you look at the TPortal.template (which btw, needs more work :P ) the icon is fetched through $news['icon']. It could be easy to simply add an image that aligns left/right right - before $news['body'] - like <img src="'.$settings['images_url'].'/bigicons/'.$news['icon'].'" align="right" />. Only thing you need is to put your bigger images with the same names into a "bigicons" folder in the theme's images folder.

Why not make this a standard feature? Allow folks to display a certain image with certain catagories that it's in.

I will. :) Its on my to-do list already.
