notifications on submitted files for download or articles

It would be nice to have some kind of notification for the admin, via Email or something when a new file has been submitted from a TP module.

It is not always convenient 1) be at the computer 2) to login and 3)go to admin 4)then into the modules to check for submittals. Also, there are days when I don't 5) go to the site.  I wouldn't have to worry about checking submittals unless I received a notice.

If you are NOT at your computer, and NOT want to log in, and NOT want to go to admin panel, and the modules.

How and where will you find out your notification even if you HAVE recieved one

For most people being at the computer, logging in, and going to admin isn't as much as trouble as you make it seem. I don't know about you, but my setup allows me to simply few the frontpage of my site (while I am automatically logged in) and I can see if there are any submissions that need to be taken care of.

But I can see email notification being a good feature.

Yup, email notification is really needed. I miss it myself lol. While on the subject..for submitting non-approved articles surely + submitting non-approved files. Maybe also for any new article and upload? Even if its not needed to approve them?
