Hello peeps got a mega prob

I have jsut d/l 1.1 RC3 and was uninstalling the old mods etc

I now cannot get access to the admin as this error comes up

Fatal error: Unknown function: tportal_init() in /home/showno/public_html/forum/Sources/Security.php on line 166

What do I do now?

gerrymo

I'd check that file above and below line 166 and see what code you have there.

Amay_Zing

This is what I have

lobal $user_info, $txt, $context;

   // TinyPortal
line 166   TPortal_init();

   // TinyPortal
   TPortal_init();

   // Luckily, this person isn't a guest.
   if (!$user_info['is_guest'])
      return;

What mod did you install when the error accured?
Check the XML or MOD file for the mod, then check the files it changes and remove the code for the mod.

God I am really stuck now.  I don't have a clue.  Bloc installed the other SMF for me in the past

Then it's time to learn ;)

What you can do is to just upload a fresh set of new files from the SMF packahe (backup the settings.php and settings.bak.php before you upload new files)  When you are done, do the same with TP, then refresh the forum and you should be back from where you started, and this time, leave out the bad mods ;)

Amay_Zing

I think it was TP I tried to uninstall

Amay_Zing

do I do this through FTP?  And which SMF Package?

Amay_Zing

Ok I figured it out - I uploaded a new copy of the dodgy Security.php file and now I can get in.  The next problem I have is this

The package you tried to upload either is not a valid package or has become corrupted.

Amay_Zing

Done - but was difficult as all files not uploaded due to FTP timing out
