I'm posting here coz i dont get fast replies at sm.org

Where should i go to change the templates of emails.
That is,
when you prefer to notify of topic replie, new PM etc..
you will get PM right ? where should i go and change the look and text of those messages ?
Also where should i go to change the layout of Announcements. I want it to be like the one Bloac uses.
And also the newsletter template - i wanna change.

Thank You

G6Cad

I dont think they come premade, i think you have to code the template manually and use as a newsletter when you send mail or PMs  ???

gfxindia

its ok with newletter.
But what to do for others ?
I want to edit the text shown in those mails.

G6Cad

Im not sure where to do that, it's more an SMF thing then TP so im not all that good in how to change it or where, have you looked in the newsletter admin ???

gfxindia

no i dont want to change newsletter.
this topic is mainly for the other mails.

G6Cad

If i understand this correct, you have to create an xml or rss feed and make it look the way you want, then when you send "newsletters" using that rss or xml, you have it sent by email to your users with template looks if you created the xml or rss as templates with content

gfxindia

ok. but i dont really need to have it for newletters.
i want for other mails sent by my forum.

G6Cad

All mails from the forum are sent out from the same place as you create news letters, the mails sends like newsletters, or where do you send out mails from your forum from  ???

gfxindia

the automatic ones.
which will be sent to you when you receive new PM, new replies to your posts, announcements, password change mail etc...

Actually..this site use a html template for its announcements only, and that I made as a "hack" to Post.php. SMF sadly hasn't got template editing for the look of anouncements sent, because the notion was that announcements should be pure text-based. But with some slight changes you can have it html-style anyway. :)

I think this has to be made a mod though, so it can be easily installed. Or just added as part of TP.
