SMF Gallery or TP Gallery?

Hi there good people,

I just install the new SMF Gallery today and it seems like a nice gallery add-on.

the big question is, should I play with the SMF Gallery now or wait for the official TP Gallery?Ã, 

is there anyone out there already testing TP Gallery?

We can't say which is better, as TP-Gallery is not in test yet. I personally haven't tried SMF Gallery, so cannot comment on that one either.

Well Smf gallery looks great , i've been testing it for the past 4 or 5 days and its easy to use and administrate , i like the comment system on it too. Why not use the smf gallery for now , you can test out the tp gallery when its released and decide which on you like better.

I just hope someone can create a convert script when TP Gallery is released (which I expect to be fully loaded with user galleries)

how does this compares with oldiesman gallery bridge then?

SMF gallery is a nice setup I have it in use partially on my forum but Ive noticed some quirks I dont like and I think Im gonna wait on bloc's, this was gonna be my contribution to tp but I figure its better to wait for the guru to do it and maybe input suggestions and ideas for it instead.

i installed gallery 1 a long while back- it was a disaster with potential is all i can say

it caused errors on my board, in my db and i dont know where else lol.

But i see gallery 2 is out too - havent tested and tried that yet

The TP Gallery is in the Roadmap

• upload multiple
• approval/not approval
• module block showing last item/most viewed etc.

So I expect Bloc already has test versions of it. Other factors will probably dictate how long the Alpha and Beta testing will take as changes to SMF, like it going gold, will probably mean changes to TP and all of Bloc's themes and he has a lot of them.

I think if bloc is willing he should add the "image resize" option to his gallery.

Like you see on some scripts where you upload one image and it resizes them to different sizes like 800x600 - 1024x800 etc etc

that would be really cool especially for a wallpapers section

Its a start but not had time to do much to it lately.
