Go directly to forum index not working?

I recently decided to get rid of the frontpage, as in disable and go straight to the forum, however all that happens is that when you first enter the forum it tries to display the news and frontpage still, it does not go straight to the forum index.

Ive tried a few things but none so far have worked, anyone know what the problem is?

Maybe you have frontpage blocks or center blocks enabled in the forum.

Ah if you have some displaying it still tries to force a front page? Even though you select to bypass it?

And what forum version do you have, and what portal version ?
Also a link is great for us to have so we can see for our selfs how it looks

Forum version should be 1.1 rc2 and tp 0.86

I currently have to have it set with the frontpage on (as otherwise users cant use the forum) but basically when i try to bypass the front page it displays:

Why don't you just install the new version?

Will the Aero tp theme still work? As i have customised it a fair bit.

Some small changes must be done, but the theme will work as is, but most likly with minor errors
Make sure you upgrade everything with your forum set to DEFAULT SMF if you decide to upgrade

Ok thanks ill try installing the new version then now, a fresh install would probably be best in this case as the current install seems a bit unpredictable lol.
