Does anyone here use WAMP server?
I just installed it like last week, for the life of my I cannot connect to the DB. Whats the username and password?

It doesnt ask for for one, and the support forum has no help (Probably because its really simple and stoopid)

AHHHHHHH!!!!!

IchBin

You're asking us the user/password? lol
You need to read the docs. Most of these setups have some. Which WAMP setup are you using?

I know I know, sounds crazy but I was thinking its a default username/pass combo.

I am using the latest one 1.6.4. I have found no docs, its just an exe file.

Maybe I am missing something here (obviously) how can I install a SMF locally without connecting to the wamp mysql db. I assumed I just installed like any other forum?
Is that wrong

COME ON, WHOLE STOLE USER NAME AND PASSWORD

LOL

JPDeni

There's some great documentation about WAMP here. I haven't worked with WAMP for a while, but I followed his instructions and it worked for me. He says that there is no username and password to start with. You create one after you install it.

Greenbug

JPDeni, you saved my life!

I was about to "Set down the keyboard, and step AWAY from the computer"

Thank you!
