My articles lose their frames when i post them. As soon as i press SEND one more time it goes from this:

to this:

oh and the 2 questions:

1. why does tinyMCE load so slow?
2. How can i get rid of the catlist? I don't have a complex site so i don't really need it ;) and how to remove the navigation links? i find them kinda redundant if i already have the catlist...

The first issue can be your own browser, Try and clear out the temp internet files and your cache and see if it helps.

The tinyMCE can be slow loading if you have a slow connection or a low BW on your shared host. Most of the times it loads up fast.

The catlist and the page listing you can find in the forum settings if you look around a bit :)

Okay, will try later today.

EDIT: different pc, another connection (2mbit), clean cache - didn't work!

i forgot to mention, SMF 1.1 RC3+TP v0.9.5

Well, i tried removing the checkboxes in the catlist options in TP settings but it still remains there with the HOME and -NO NAME- links. And if i remove the linktree of the forum, then i remove it from both the page and the forum, and that's kinda not good ;)

Hard to find a solution when we can't reproduce the problem. TinyMCE loads absolutely fine on my site. And my articles don't change when submitted like yours. What would you like us to do? Only thing I can suggest is that you upload everything manually and replace the files, then run the manual_tp_install.php file and see if that helps. Other than that, I really don't know what to tell you.

well, thanks for the tip, i'll try a reinstall then...

thanks!

edit: doesn't work.
here's a code snippet from the page (without the frames):

<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="100%">
<tr>
<td colspan="2" valign="top" width="100%">
<div style="margin-bottom: 2ex; ">
<table width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">

<tr>
<td valign="top"  style="padding: 4px;"><br />
<div style="_height: 1%; ">
<div style="line-height: 1.3em;">template test
</td></tr><tr><td  >
</div>
          <div class="smalltext" style="margin: 2ex 1ex 1ex 1ex;"><a href="http://www.semenka.com/tranceation/forum/index.php?action=tpadmin;sa=editarticle43">[Edit article]</a>
          <a href="http://www.semenka.com/tranceation/forum/index.php?action=tpadmin;sa=editarticle43;visualopts">[Edit options]</a></div>

</div></td></tr></table>

and here it is with the frames:
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="100%">
<tr>
<td colspan="2" valign="top" width="100%">
<div class="tborder" style="margin-bottom: 2ex; ">
<table width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">

<tr>
<td valign="top"  class="windowbg2" style="padding: 4px;"><br />
<div style="_height: 1%; ">
<div style="line-height: 1.3em;">template test
</td></tr><tr><td   class="windowbg2">
</div>
          <div class="smalltext" style="margin: 2ex 1ex 1ex 1ex;"><a href="http://www.semenka.com/tranceation/forum/index.php?action=tpadmin;sa=editarticle43">[Edit article]</a>
          <a href="http://www.semenka.com/tranceation/forum/index.php?action=tpadmin;sa=editarticle43;visualopts">[Edit options]</a></div>

</div></td></tr></table>

notice the difference...

try to disable your editor and put the code into the block box without any editor installed...sometimes the editor causes a problem and integrates part of the code into the template

doesn't help. I just tried that (after deinstalling TP and dropping all TP tables and removing all TP modifications to try a fresh start).

sorry guys, but this "feature" annoys me very much. I have no other choice than to deinstall TP and return to my old website setup :( at least till i get home and see what can i do on my localhost.

I don't understand what you are trying to do foxfox. Can you provide some Screenshots so I can see what you're talking about?

foxfox

ichbin: what i'm trying is to make TP show the frame on the article as soon as i send it, so that i don't have to press send twice!

see the screenshots above.

Oh and yeah, i just made a fresh clean 1.1 RC3 install on my PC and added TP 0.9.5 and the exact same thing happened.
