In the Helios TP 0.9.5. the editor screen for articles is so white everything washes out.  The selector button dropdowns are unreadable unless you just scroll one at time through the selections.

The screen is not representative of what you will see when you put up the article.

This is probably a pretty important issue since users will not take the time to workout problems with the editor in submitting articles.  The tools are difficult to see.

If there is an easy fix or some code lines... that'll probably work.  I can try to fix.

Thanks

I think I found the issue.

1.  The TinyMCE doesn't have nice clear icons like this forums.

2.  I'm running a 22" LCD monitor on DVI.  I'm not running native resolution because it's wide it doesn't suit working with websites well, 1680 x 1050.  I'm running at resolution 1280 x 800 and you do lose some textural ability as well as small lines clarity.

3.  Still within a theme like Helios it would make sense to have a text input area that is not white, since no where else are text input areas white.

Is the FCKeditor better with respect to the quality of selector icons, and the ability to possibly change text input area colors?

I noticed FCKeditor was mentioned within the theme.  Where would you find the FCKeditor and code that would work within the 0.9.5 and respective themes.

Thank you for your response.

Cant say that the FCKeditor is better then the other two builded in TP as is.
But i do know it's a lot heavier to load up, and are quite big if you compare it with the ones already in TP.

The FCK editor is Felines work, She have made it for Tp V.086, but she haven't updated it yet for TP V.095, she made the Blog ready to day, so i think the FCK editor will show up any time soon in the download section, eather here or on her site http://www.xyfrauen.com

The FCK editor is a add on editor, you have to install it through the package manager :)

The editor in this forums looks alot better than the one inside the TP.  The selector icons are much clearer for viewing.  When you click the drop down "change color" you can also see all the choices without having to scroll over them.

Since the choices are limited I'll probably have to go with the best available.  The bandwidth loading is always an issue, but with the editing of articles it probably won't make a lot of difference since activity won't be high like on a forums.

Thanks for your response
