I just did the upgrade yesterday and today I discovered that a link to an article that is in my menu no longer works, but gives me a blank page.  Just a simple link to an article, nothing fancy.

It worked fine in 0.86, but not after upgrade.  I have RC2 as the forum base package.  Any suggestions how to fix this.  I even tried to create a new article and link to that and that did not work either.

I can make a fix for it by just making an html file and uploading it to my server, but that kind of defeats the purpose of being able to create articles.

Okay since I just blew up my forum here is the update:

I upgraded to SMF RC3.  The broken link to articles is ONLY with tp_Amber.  The other themes seem to work okay.

Is there a code fix for TP_Amber to have the article link work correctly?  I don't understand this unless it is the way Amber uses SSI.php.

Thanks Max,

I did the file upgrade and still have the same problem.  I tried it in IE and Firefox to make sure it was not browser specific.  Same with both of them. You can take a look at http://www.digitaltradz.com  In the menu there is a link at the top called Test-Ignore that is linked to an article if you would like to check it out.  You get a blank page with page numbers in the top right corner.  #2 takes you back to the home page.

Really strange, because the article links work fine with the default themes in RC3.

Yes i see what you mean, must be something wrong with the TP_Amber Theme,

Just an FYI--with TP 0.86 everything worked okay, that's what is puzzling.

Actually I blew up the site this morning so I upgraded to RC3 to get the site back up and then installed 0.95.

Before that the install was RC2 with 0.86 and I upgraded TP to 0.95.  After upgrading to 0.95 on RC2 is when the problem occured.  Per the instructions, 0.86 did not need to be uninstalled.

Okay, I went back and double checked everything in the installation/upgrade and it all seem to have the latest files.  I also found the new Amber theme for 0.95 and installed that and got rid of the old Amber theme.  Still the same thing.

What file controls the articles to display as a block?  Maybe if I compare the old files against the new ones I can see what is happening and find a fix.  I know it is something minor but I am not 100% familiar with what controls what yet.

I'm not even sure what you mean by "broken links". Will take a looksy here in a minute.
Can you provide a test account or some way for us to view the "broken links"?

NM, I see the problem but I have no idea what causes that. I can't suggest anything except for user another theme if they work. :)
