Does anybody have a copy of RC-2 available?

I have a friend who is starting his own forum right now.  Want's to use SMF with TP and wants me to get it going.

He was on 1.0.7 and I upgraded to 1.0.8 and then to RC-3.  Since TP .95 isn't ready yet, I wanted to change it to RC2 and then pop in TP .86.

Any ideas?

Dont bother with all that work right now WSA, give it a few more days, and then install Tp V.095 instead.
That way you dont have to bother with first install and convert, and then uninstall and upgrade, and then install AGAIN  ::)

A few more days, and one more note, you cant downgrade from 1.1rc3 to 1.1rc2  ;)

Ok, not a problem then.

My install of RC3 went very well and I did it all by myself.  :D :D

Will 9.5 have an upgrade feature that can be used for those using 8.6 on a RC3 board??

Just a question as I will probably wait for 9.5  to install RC3 but the anticipation is killing me....LOL!

Yes it is just the same as it was with the upgrade from TP V.075 to TP V.086

Does that mean that all my personal TP settings will be restored after the upgrade? I didn't notice that TP 0.86 won't work with SMF RC3 until I thoughtlessly upgraded my board last night. TinyPortal 0.86 is still listet in the package manager as a modification package. However, the TP admin section is no longer present. If former TP settings will not be restored, is it advisable to delete the previous TP version in the package manager before upgrading?

Big thanks to everybody who is involved in TP! Brilliant work!

The settings and data are stored in the database. So, yes, they will be restored. Upgrading TP will not hurt those.

That's a relief! Thanks anunlike!
Am I supposed to delete the TP 0.86 files from the package manager before upgrading or will the entry be replaced by v0.95?

You can always just upgrade TP by replacing - installing the new version over the old.

Thanks again. If only I could do so right now! ;-)
