I tried looking around the forum, but I couldn't find anything here that solved my problem.

I installed TP sucessfully according to the installer (I use SMF 1.0.7) and I did delete all of the other themes except for the SMF default one, but when I installed and went to my forums there was no difference. So I went to the admin panel, and there's just a blank menu for "TinyPortal".

Sorry if there is an answer in another thread for this... DX

Max

you are missing language strings in TPortal.english.php...

These Should Be In There.

$txt['tp-settings'] = 'Settings';
$txt['tp-editblocks'] = 'Block Manager';
$txt['tp-admin8'] = 'Article Manager';
$txt['tp-admin9'] = 'Downloads Manager';

pa-radio.com

I checked my file... Those strings are in it. :(
Still nothing.

IchBin

You may want to try the install again. If that doesn't work try the manual install and see how that works.

I did try the manual install first but it couldn't connect to my database and I couldn't find the file where I change the login info. :(

Missing files from the TinyPortal package
This can be becaause you dont have the correct permsission set for the TP files.

The files you must check that you HAVE there and that they have the correct permisssion are

TPortalAdmin.english.php  (this is the file you are missing the strings from in the image)
TPortal.english.php
TPmodules.english.php

If you say that you have checked that they are there, then check the permissions and set it to 755

IchBin

Did you run the manual_tp_install.php file from the root of your forum?

pa-radio.com

Thanks G6... But it didn't work. :(

And IchBinâââ,¬Å¾Ã,¢, I did run the manual_tp_install.php prior to posting here (yes, and in the root directory of my forum).

Bleh... I feel so dumb.

G6Cad

Are you sure the permissions on the files are correct?
If they dont have the correct permissions, they dont get read or shown,
