When you used the RSS function/block..did it work alright? or did it show nothing? The error is related to that.

Is it many errors? like..every page view where the rss feed is shown?

Ray

i tried to mess around with the rss block and when i activated the block it messed up the forums totally, count not see any posts/topics or even the admin section, i had to go into phpmyadmin and disable the block.

the error on the page:
2: fopen(-no content-): failed to open stream: No such file or directory
File: smf\forums\Sources\TPortal.php
Line: 999

could you explain how the rss block, what url  must go into RSS feed for it to work?.

bloc

It needs a xml file or a physical file that can be read. So if the file don't exist, you get that error. This block type is unfinshed, I need to add checks and cache options too. But make sure the path points to a really working feed.

Ray

I am using http://rss.cnn.com/rss/cnn_topstories.rss as the feed -- just put this link in and the block will do the rest
