I am wanting to do something that is probably very easy or very hard to do.

I have an ungodly amount of membergroups which everyone is a member of at least 2.

Basically everyone is in groups based on their "rank" in my clan, the team they are on, and if they have donated they are in a group for donors.

I am wanting to setup ads on my site (just google or something) but don't want donors to have to see it.  If I understand how TP works if I turn off the block from donors but it is on for their rank / team they would still see it.

Would it be possible to work in an

'Allow' (A), 'Disallow' (X), or 'Deny' (D) system for the blocks for each member group.  Because I could just Deny access to the blocks that I put the ads in and everything would be great.  Im sure others could use this feature also.

While I'm at it, Does anyone know a way I could turn the block off to this group with the current TP System?

Thanks, Jacob

I think you can do this allready if you have the things in diffrent blocks.
If you go and edit the blocks (one by one) you see the choises for the membergroups you want to show the block to.

To simply denie a block for a membergroup, just leave the catbox empty for that group and they will not see it/them.
You as the admin will offcourse see them all no matter how you set the groups to see or not see the blocks

Yes, but what he saying G6 is that if they are a member of the donation group he doesn't want them to see the ads. If they are a member of the donation group and another group (which he wants to see the ads) then they will see the ads regaurdless if they are unchecked in the other group. I'm thinking you may have to customize a block with some php to display if they're not a specific member group. Let me see if I can find the code that was posted here once before.

I feel like an idiot.

As I"m fixing to close my permissions page after getting the "'Allow' (A), 'Disallow' (X), or 'Deny' (D)" text I see this... (attached picture)

I remember now downloading a module from SMF.. I have just modified my theme so many times and on every page so the banner I had before dont show and I forgot about it.

anyway, I would love to see the (A), (X), (D) feature in a later version.

IchBin

If this helps you can create your own block/articles to do similar things.
