My site updated :D

well finally! I got around to making the big transation from pushing mkportal out and bring in TP on my site...

for now ive somehow managed to kick out the main page of mkportal without uninstalling it and using frames managed to get TP as the main page...without the header stuff ofcourse.....

So what do u guys think? (in comparison to before if u remember it)

there are some disadvantages of frames ive noticed though....every now and then when logging out or in it will load a duplicate index within the frames causing frames within frames..but hasnt happend much except 2 times out of 30 tries for me (loggin in and out)

lemme know ur opinions in some detail if possible

Your site looks great. I've never been a fan of frames....  but whatever it takes to get it to work mate. You are well on your way in getting rid of MK. Cheers!

Yea I was forced to use frames because I couldnt get my flash header to fit in the themes for SMF since many of them use varying table layouts...so it was knocking things out of order in many of them

I really dont like frames but i had no option unfortunately

Plus the reason I didnt uninstall mkportal is because ill keep it around for the blogs

Mkportal without doubt has the best blog templates and stuff ive seen in any portal.

Onlythings left are:

- Downloads ---> Transfer to TP
- Media ---> Transfer to a custom made page
- Gallery ---> Transfer tocoppermine ----> later on with release of TP1 to TP

And its all finished

It's different in a good way for sure  :up:   I like the 'Articles' tab and how you can categorize the different articles.

ohh the articles...

well that was a custom design so it totally html + flash based.

Actually thats how my site started out with that page, now im displaying it in a frame so that it looks more 'part of the site' than another site altogether


PS: im looking for some sort of a software which allows uploading media files of all kinds like MP3, wmv, rm, ram, flv, etc etc....does anyone know of a good fre one?
