Downloads Page

Hi

I would like to create a downloads page for my site but I am really unclear on how to use the downloads manager. I notice on this site that the downloads button leads to a nice section with available downloads.  I would appreciate any help in attempting this.

The downloads manager you see on BZÃ, is the much improved next version.

You set the module to on in the Admin and set usergroup permissions etc, that is who is allowed to upload and who is allowed to download.Ã,  You then upload files through the upload manager, from your own PC.

The download manager here looks a bit diffrent then the manager in TP.v086
In tpv.086 you can create categories and sub categories and upload your content you want users to download from your site.
The best way to learn is to just play with the download section in your Admin/TinyPortal/Download manager
Create categories there
Then activate the download module and set up the membergroups you want to have download permissions for

Thank you both for taking the time to reply  .  You will laugh but the reason I was struggling was that I wasnt aware that the module had to be activated 

It`s much clearer now lol, off now to set it up

There is something a bit unclear to me:

I can create categories and choose the usergroups allowed to see them.
I can allow usergroups as uploaders / moderators.

How do i create a category a certain usergroup (that has permission to upload elsewhere) is only allowed to see / download? If i allow uploads for the group they can upload anywhere...

Also i see you have Blocs themes in your download section, also other theme makers work.
I know Bloc wont permit any of his themes to be hosted at any other site then this one  Not even on my site i have Blocs themes for download

If you are about to host themes from Bloc or any other Theme maker/theme Owner, you have to get their permission to host their themes, and let them know where the themes are hosted.

All themes i have hosted on my site (saw you even copied my headlines and theme precentations    :laugh: )   I have permissions from the theme owners to do so, with restrictions on where the support are for them and who made them, and copywrite statments to the same.

And as for your question, i cant see or understand what you mean, other then the TP _V.086 TO TP V.095 themes ?
All themes i have on my site are updated and works with TP V.095, But they are also working with TP V.086

TP -V.086-v.095 = Tiny Portal compatible themes
