Biggest Thread Question ?

I currently have a thread on my site that has 845 replies to it. This seems like a pretty large number to me and I was wondering how it compared to some of your "Monster Threads"

How does that work?  Someone ask a question and the first person to post will answer the question, then what does that person do?  Ask another question for someone else to ask?

Yes. Or it can also go in the other direction where the current one comments on the one before him.

some chain threads which have been very successful on my forum - only to have been deleted by me and a restriction put on such threads since they tend to make a forum all 'fun and games' instead of a place of learning (as is in my sites case)

- Interview the person below you
You ask a Q, the next person answers and asks another Q, so on and so forth

- The never ending story
I write a lil, next person continues, etc etc

- Letter Link
I say a word, the next person makes a word with the last alphabet

- Rhyming game
I say a word, next person rhymes
(the above can also be adapted to poem verses)

- Did you know?
A thread where people post one-liner 'facts' and still stuff

- Knock knock jokes
self explanatory

- the compliment thread
one person starts the thread with the rules, the next must compliment them, and the next compliment the one before them, so on andd so forth

- the insult game
this wasnt on my forum but ive seen it..its the opposite of the last

Apart from these there are many other chain threads

but i think they are best to be avoided because at the end of the day they just clutter up ur database with gibbrish - UNLESS ur running a fun n games forum or a fun zone or something

At Our-Local we have a thread called Now Playing, peeps post what music they are currently listening to. Currently at 3214 posts and 14872 views.
