No, it's not possible to do it within specific categories or boards in the forum in .8.6. And, as I understand it, it's not possible in .9.5.

But, like fb said, in .9.5, you can do that in other parts of the site, including individual articles. You can see it in your profile, in the memberlist, and the personal message screen.

well, i was hoping there was a way to do it. i like having blocks running down both the sides, but within the forum when you read posts it really squishes things a bit too much. blocks running down one side is fine, like here in tinyportals forum, but my forum just looks better with right and left blocks due to the number of blocks i have.

i will just continue leaving the blocks hidden within the forum for now and maybe a version down the road will have this option. thanks!

Actually, yes, you can do that in .9.5. You can choose which boards you want to show each block in.

Well, I don't think you can choose what board to "not" show it in. You can only choose to "show" it in a particular board. If you don't see the difference I'll try to explain it better...

ich, as long as i can choose to show the blocks on the forum index and choose NOT to show them within the individual boards then that would be want i want to do.
