Anyone experienced with pligg ?

Does anyone have any experience with SMF and Pligg ? http://www.pligg.com/

I'm attempting to use pligg for my website's frontpage (pennyquick.com) and on that frontpage, have a link to the forum (forum.pennyquick.com) which would be a SMF v1.1Rc2 + Tinyportal v0.8.6 solution. The main reason that I desire to use pligg is because it is a digg.com clone, and in my particular case, I want to have the ability for people to vote on the popularity of individual stocks on the stockmarket, and then showcase that popularity as the first thing that someone will see who visits my site !

It would be nice if I could get SMF's database to communicate with pligg's database in terms of member information (user names and passwords) ... And it would be nice if the articles that people submit through pligg would then be automatically posted inside the forum, and vice versa ... people's posts inside the forum become articles on pligg.

( Sub-domains are nice because you can copy your entire forum over to a subdomain, and screw around with it, and test it out until it's perfected without affecting your public forum's normal usage while you test on the private duplicate ! )

hmm just looking at it i wouldnt use it... not my kinda thing, as i have never had a shop or stock intack site that has needed voting :\
