Well, here is the column we did.  This is the online version but I have about 15 copies of the paper in my truck right now.  My little girl dragged mom out of bed this morning and took her out to get the paper also.  I believe she grabbed about 10 copies.  She said to celebrate, I need to take her out for pizza this afternoon.

The first article was mine and the second one was somebody else who is part of WSA.

Article One

Article Two

Wooohooo, we are big time now.   :D

Both articles are very nice! Weekly installments, cool.

Yes, your site does load a lot better, especially for slower connections.

Congrats! And a great article you have there. I can't agree more that spending time with the family and fishing is one of the few ways to really "become" a family.

WSA

Thanks guys.  We were initially going to do a column every other week, but after they read our drafts, they said that they wanted a weekly.  This is absolutely great news, not only for Western Slope Anglers, but also for the fishing community as a whole.

We only have one column in a different newspaper and they hardly ever report on our local opportunities.  Yesterday, theirs came out and it was about fishing in Idaho.

What the heck do we care about 14" trout out in Idaho?  I want to know where I can catch fish here in my own backyard.

WSA

Next weeks article is already being worked on.  It's going to highlight the joys of catching carp with a bow and arrow.

Yup, you heard right.  Bowhunting fish.

G6Cad

Bow and arrow fishing is quite common here down and the pir where the big boats come in.
The trout swim right next to the pir and they shoot them right there  :o

8)Really nice site WSA. It has really improved over the last few months, and is looking really professional.

Congrats on the articles. Well written.
First one reminds me of takin our boys out...

Bowhunting fish. - (That sounds like a Ted Nugent thing... ;) :) kdg)
This is something that takes more skill than luck for sure...

Looking forward ;)

WSA

It's definitely a Ted Nugent thing.  I think that guy is awesome.  I wish he would run for Governor of Colorado.

I remember back when I was a POW in Vietnam and I had just escaped and all I had with me was a bow and an arrow.  I subsisted on Carp for weeks trying to evade capture.

Then I woke up.

This is my husbands friends from his job :)
This is catch by what we call "trolling" They use regular fishing gear and just have the bate in the water and drag it from the boat :)
This fish weight 17kg  :)
