corrupted admin password

Morning..
   I can't access my admin password anymore.. any suggestions?

You can create another user and then go into your database and change them to admin that way.

I guess not.. so here goes.. I create a new user/password and then how do I edit dbs to change user access to admin?

If you have access to phpMyAdmin you can open your database and find the smf_members table. Click on it, then click on the browse tab. Then find your new user and locate the ID_GROUP column. You should have a zero in that field as a regular user. Change it to a 1 and that should make you admin.

Have you tried to use the password reminder to create a new one?

That did the trick Ichbin! The webadmin record was corrupted and secret password didn't work either..
