On my website I have my space embed into the center block.
http://www.eq-legends.com/book

What i want to know is how can I make it so each member of my forums can have the center myspace block go thier own myspace page when they are logged on to the forums?

akulion

That is not something simple at all!

The only way I know this could be possible is by assiging each member a special membergroup...and then editing the code in the center block with PHP to display a different url based on which member is accessing the page.

Now this would be perfectly fine if you only intended like 3 or 4 users to use the site (it would still be a huge chunk of code)

but for a growing membership...i think that would be totally not possible

either ways I think that a good suggestion you have there all the same - having a block which users can edit within constraints (constraints would be necessary since they might use coding to display sensitive info)

I hope it can be developed in the future.

Thats best to my knowledge...dont be discourages, someone else around may have a solution - lets see what others have to say :)

I do have a suggestion for you however - why dont you make a centerblock which Links manually to all the users my space - they could request theirs to be listed on the main page - that way after they login they can click the link to access their own page since ur using an Iframe there :)

Wartog

You know any way to get the myspace to size to the center block so i can do away with scrolling is that possible?

IchBin

Unfortunately you'd have to edit myspace to do that.

Wartog

Oh thats what I thought, well thanks for the answers.

Isent that kind of the way Fels Blog is working?
If she can make the blog accept to have blocks attached, it will do what this threads question is all about  ???

As it is right now, every blog owner have a space of their own, and can edit with editor, put in images, rate, and reply to it if they want.

I might just be out in the bush now, but thats the first thought i got when i read the page  :o

I know it's early in the morning here

Wartog

Is that Mod you speak of availible for download yet?

G6Cad

Not quite yet, but Fel should be back to day, so may be a week or less :)
You can see it in action on her site, http://www.xyfrauen.com

And it is a module for the next release of TP not a mod ;)  A week or two before release i think

Wartog

Oh so it wont work until the updated TP is released? I checked it out and liked it alot, lots of possibilities with that mod.
