Images show up in RSS feed.

I have an RSS feed from another forum set up in my present forum but getting a problem where the feeds show images in the feeds as well as the entire post. Any way I can set the RSS feed to show topics only?

Here is the URL of the feed:
http://www.theartgangster.com/switchboard/index.php?action=.xml;type=rss2;sa=recent;board=10;limit=3

Any ideas?

There are some issues with rss feeds in TP V.086, but most of them will be fixed in the next release that are on the way in a week or two

Yes, in 0.9.5 you will have the option to only show the titles / topics.

0.9.5 should come out very soon.

hello people, this is an old topic but In fact I have the same problem but in version TinyPortal v0.9.7/
SMF 1.1.2.

It has the mentioned option of showin only title or complete item but it doesn't display the images.
I'm using this feed: http://www.nu.nl/feeds/rss/muzieknieuws.rss

Any suggestions?

Latest build for that version of TP is 0.9.8.  And I'm amazed you haven't been hacked running SMF 1.1.2, latest build for that is SMF 1.1.11

I would strongly advise you upgrade before asking for support.

Before you do so I would mention that TP 0.9.8 is no longer available for download. on this site.

Not available? OMG! What shall I do... Let me think.... probably I have that version somewhere on my hard drive because I do that very often, at least download the latest version just for in case i need it in the future. But thanks for warning and the help.

That feed you mentioned doesn't even images in the feed, only text --> http://www.nu.nl/feeds/rss/muzieknieuws.rss

To show the difference, this feed does have images in the feed --> http://www.absolutely-nothing.co.uk/rss/?lang=en-gb

In any case, the version of TP you have should allow you to select whether to show the entire feed or just the titles.  All you have to do is edit the block and look for an option to "Display only titles?   Yes  No"

Though I don't have a test site setup with your version of TinyPortal, that feed should look similar to the attached image if you are choosing to show only the titles.

If you want to upgrade your SMF and TP, and yes, you should do this, and want advice on how to do it, you should start a new topic in the Support board and ask for advice on the best way to do so.
