Next TP Release?

All themes from SMF 1.1rc2 wil work on SMF 1.1rc3 as there was no template changes at all in the new release

According to Bloc there were no changes that would affect the themes between the versions (exept as i saw from your link) the small changes from "rc2 to rc3" .
I have to trust Bloc
Also the themes i have on my setup now Luminance, Nexus5 and Blue101 are working with out any errors on my setup SMF 1.1rc3 and TP V.095

I really couldnt be bothered updgrading to RC3 and having no tinyportal so im just going to wait untill the next version of tp is out and have a fresh rc3 install + fresh tinyportal install .

I did my upgrade the "easy" way

Installed 1.1rc3 on my testsite
Installed TP V.095
Installed Arcade 1.3.0
Installed FelBlog (Had to go with manual edits of the files here)
Installed GoogleBot & Spidermod

Tweeked the files so it was almost as my Live site.

Downloaded all the files from my testsite when i was happy with the setup.

Prepared my live site for the upgrade.

Set the forum to default theme
Deleted all themes exept the default ones

Made a complete backup of all forum files through FTP
Made a complete backup of the DB both through SMF Admin and PhP Myadmin just in case.

Uploaded all the files from my testsite setup leaving out settings.php and settings.bak.php, all other files i choosed to overwrite. All the SAME files from the setup will be overwritten and updated, but all files saved in the folders Games and tp-downloads will still be there as they dont exist in the test setup.

Uploaded 1.1rc3 upgrade.php to my forum root
Uploaded TP V.095 tp_install.php file to my forum root
Uploaded install.php for the Arcade to the forum root folder
Uploaded FelBlog install.php to the forum root folder

Pointed my browser to upgrade.php and it upgraded the DB for SMF 1.1rc3
Pointed my browser to tp_install.php and it upgraded the DB for TP V.095 Alpha
Pointed my browser to install.php for the Arcade mod and it updated the Arcade
Pointed my browser to felblog_install.php and it updated the Felblog mod

I did get one DB error. For some reason one table from SMF package didnt upgrade, but IchBin fixed that one manually so the forum both looked and felt the same as before.
I had to add some text strings for Felblog, Arcade and Googlebot to get all strings to show where they should.

So this is one way to go if you have a big live site with mods and a big download section and Arcade installed with a lot of games.
Make a "clone" of the setup with the files on a test site, and just overwrite and upgrade it on your live site and you will have all content left after the upgrade

The themes should work fine, but as harzeM points out: there are some changes to be made..nothing that will break existing themes though.

I am not upgrading until the new release of Tiny Portal. What good is an upgrade of SMF if I cannot have Tiny Portal with it. So I am waiting. When it is done it is done, no rushing is best.

Oh...is that the way we should go for?

So to say it in a short way, i make an exact copy of the live site, Upload the whole copy to my live site root except setting.php and settings.dat.php?
