Ok I will start small...

Your shoutbox, well I wont use it only because I like the look and feel of smfShoutBox , but while using yours on this site I noticed how the WHOLE page refreshes... thats not good, lets say I am on dial up, for the whole page compared to the box of the SB (ShoutBox) is great, I went on to wireless and it took a bit for the reload, now since you can even html the boxes for TP then why not allow ONLY the box to reload, would be much quicker, and if oyu did auto reload, lets say every 15 seconds, not too bad then, or 60seconds, w/e, let it become an admin option...

-AnyWays-

Lets have a look at some of the SMF feature MODS, theres a few but lets stick with 'current' options for rc2, being the newest and more featured.

Keep only TP themes in mind but add a function to TP, installing TP to the default theme of SMF, have no other themes present, then allow TP to install the themes... for the features already installed... to any NEW theme you add AFTERWARDS (After TP install) your features will automatically be inserted to each theme. and ONLY features oyu have had previously to the theme install...

so in other words
install smf
install TP
install ALL MODS-anything after will have to be manual
install Themes

everything is set!

I think you are missing a big point here  :2funny:

First off, TP is a MOD for SMF there for you really NEED to have SMF installed first before you install TP.
Then you MUST have SMF default theme when you install TP, (no other theme will work)
And then, you actually install the other TP themes after the TP install.
So where did you miss all of this when you wrote your big project for Bloc  :o

G6Cad

Also, you have an option after you installed TP to have the blocks turned on or off, you dont need to have the shoutbox on if you dont want to.
The SMF shoutbox looks great, and can be placed anywhere in TP or SMF forum only, But the refresh it have, uses more bandwith then the shoutbox TP have. Also personaly when i used the SMF shoutbox, i fount it quite annoying when it refreshed all the time "blinking" like.

But thats a taste thing, some like it and some dont :) The shoutbox have been up for siscussion many times here, and the answer every time is "leave it like is" :)

The shoutbox AJAX solution is being worked on so its just a matter of time before it becomes available - I believe JayBertho is working on that

As for your suggestion about TP automatically installing the mod features for all the themes...that sounds wonderful but it is highly improbable since each theme uses different templates and in most cases the codes which are required to be replaced could be greatly different for each and every theme and currently the mods 'search for' the codes based on default theme and replace/add/before or after accordingly and this would become very very difficult to do for all themes.

:)

I don't think there is anyway of having the shoubox work without page reload because of the way SMF is designed.

It can be done, just takes a bit of work.
