Hello all,

I was running TP but then we decided to use a custom site for the main page so I disabled it in the Packages interface. However, a couple of users have reported seeing:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tportal_version() in /home/
secondsh/public_html/forum/Sources/Load.php(1607) : eval()'d code on
line 448

This seems to coincide with the dreaded

Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again,
and then try again.

problem, which is happening despite having databaseSession_enable turned on.

See this thread for my current progress on that. Could they be related? Help with either one would be immensely appreciated. Our site has just gone up and non-functional fora are going to pose an enormous problem for us.

Thanks!

Hwn you un-installed it..did you get any "failure" messages? if you did, then not all was able to be un-modded.

Incidentally , by uploading the upgrade package of the same SMF version as you currently have, all traces of TP will be gone. But your TP data will still be intact and resurrected once you install TP again.

Here's the weird thing: I've since not only uninstalled, but removed the package through the Packages interface (no errors that I noticed). However, I still get the same

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tportal_version() in /home/
secondsh/public_html/forum/Sources/Load.php(1607) : eval()'d code on
line 448

message. I've looked in Load.php and there is no trace of the string "tportal_" anywhere in it. I grep'd through the whole Sources directory and only found matches in TPortal.php, TPdlmanager.php and TPortalAdmin.php, but... shouldn't those files be gone after uninstalling anyway?

So confused here, but meanwhile my users are unable to post. Please, any help would be appreciated.

If its gone, then check that you do not have any TP themes installed yet..the tportal_version() are the copyright call present in themes.

Aw drat. Our current theme is based on a TP theme. Ugh, that's going to be a hasstle.

Well, do you have any idea how likely it is that the tportal_version call is related to the cookie error? It's the cookie error that is really causing us problems (and we even have DB-based sessions enabled). If it's not related, it's not worth the trouble for now to get rid of the tportal_version error. Any ideas?

And thanks for the quick reply.

Just remove the tportal_version() code. And probably any other TP code if you're not using it.

usernamenumber

Done. But is there any reason for me to expect that to fix the cookie problem or is that most likely a separate isse? If the latter, any suggestions?
