here is a newsletter script

I have not used it but it came up on a search I did for newsletters

Maybe it could come in handy for you

SMF already has the functions to send newsletters..I think by using those and adding the actual content(which articles are new etc) it could work for TP. I need to check further, but initally its interesting.

I imagine this goes also under a umbrella of "Portal" functions/feedback, along with TP polls and contact forms for example.

I have published a post in SMF's forum requesting collaboration in the production(elaboration) of a MOD that realizes own(proper) functions of a boletin of news.
A MOD that makes all the necessary functions to create a boletin of news and later distribute it between(among) the users.

Glad to hear it.

Yes, exactly my thoughts. I hope that it would be something that would draw people to TP, as opposed to just saying "No, TP can't do that. You can only do it through SMF or get a third party script.", which could give that extra bit to convince users who may be thinking of using SMF or another portal / cms script equally, to use SMF, but, it would cater to those who really do want a newsletter feature, especially if other scripts don't have this feature.
