I would have searched this out over at the SMF forums, but the Search feature in the forums is disabled at the moment. So, my apologies for posting this if it's been talked about over there or here. This question is really more of an SMF question.

Is there a way to have all the New Replies to topics in a forum to be listed up top? I and quite a few of my forum members don' t like the scattered new icon next to topics that have had recent replies. It would b much nicer to have them all pushed to the top of the forum rather than stuck in what seems to be dated order. I have a recent topics Block enabled but I'd rather not up the total listed  to be included into that block since it could get quite large. Actually now that I think of it. It would be nice to have a scroll feature for the Recent Topics Block ;D

So, basically if you Bump a thread it gets moved to the Top of that Forums Index , rather than staying in it's orignal position. I hope I'm explaining this well enough  :-\.

So, am I missing something in the options to enable this?

You have two basic 'Unread' options,

Unread (since last visit)

/index.php?action=unread

and All Unread

/index.php?action=unread;all

They will be sorted most recent at the top.

If you want to be selective, i.e. only the unread posts on certain boards you can do that with your bookmark. On say SMF community you don't want all the language variations etc you can select the boards you want and ignore the rest. You add the board numbers to the action, here is the one I use for SMF to show what I mean.

http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?action=unread;boards=1,2,3,8,9,10,11,34,35,37,40,59,72

I hope there is something useful for you there.

Thanks!! I'll try it.
