calendar in right bar?

perhaps I am missing something but in the site of the month they have the calendar showing in the right hand bar.

How do I do this?

its been a long day.

After spelling calendar right in the search I have found that you need to use code snippets rather than just adding the calendar.

It also seems that you cant use the smf calander, you can only have  a php calendar which is just visual and shows the current day. I may be wrong if so I apologise now.

There are some modifications to it that tie into the SMF calendar. But I think they are just SSI, and not an actual SMF integration.
