A php related question
« on: June 13, 2006, 05:16:31 AM »
hi   ;D

i wanted to ask if i put HTML tags between the echo statement in a PHP file it is displayed like a normal HTML page would be yea?

I ask cos one of my pages is entirely in HTML and im thinking of putting everything in PHP by putting it all between echo statements

would it work? The pages use all sotra html, tables, embeds, images, hyprlinks, etc etc Or are there any limitations?

===================================

Another question I have is....AFTER i convert all the files to PHP can I display "users online" on the pages even if its on a seperate domain?

Cos the page im talking about (in HTML is on .com) and SMF is on .net so will it still work? To be able to show whose online on the .net site at the .com site?

---------------------------------------------

and last question...would it be possible for me to put a login box on the .com site for the .net site? so that if a user logs into .com they are actually logging into the forum but are redirected to the page they are currently on the .com site?

-------
Thanks

Aku

If your whole page is straight html, it's probably simplest to close the php and just put it straight out.

php code
...
?>
html code
<?php
..
more php code

And you can log into anywhere, just change the form's url
